seww_what is my independent slow fashion studio based in Hertfordshire. I started the studio to do what I love; working with textiles, and sharing my industry experience.
Before setting up seww_what, I spent years working across fashion, textiles and embroidery, as well as teaching and supporting others to develop their creative skills. My experience includes professional textile and embroidery work alongside years of specialist textile education — all of which now feeds into the way I make, teach and work at seww_what.
The studio offers mending services, textile workshops , and 1:1 sessions all centred around slow fashion and mindful mending.

seww what’s mending service is about more than simply fixing what is broken. Using techniques including darning, hand embroidery, sashiko-style mending, and patching. I carefully repair and revitalise your well-loved clothes. I take the time to work with each piece as it is, responding to its fabric, history and the marks it has collected along the way. Rather than hiding every imperfection, we can celebrate the visible signs of repair, giving your clothes a renewed purpose and a fresh lease of life.

seww_what was born from my frustration with fast fashion and the constant noise of digital life. I believe making with our hands offers another way of being — slower, mindful and more connected. Through sewing, weaving and mending, seww what workshops create spaces to step away from the screen, make something and rediscover the joy of making.
Rooted in sustainability and community, I repair and reuse textiles while encouraging a more thoughtful relationship with what we wear. Inspired by the landscapes and seasonal rhythms of Hertfordshire, seww what’s friendly workshops bring people together to learn, create and build confidence at their own pace.
